About this Course
Advanced Topics in Technology has the following objectives;
- Understand the impact (social, political, business, technical ) of new and emerging technology.
- Have the ability to analyze technical advances for applicability in a particular business or academic field.
- Be able to provide a critical analysis of technology to a particular application understanding both the capabilities and limitations of the technology.
Course Structure
The course is made up of three primary assignments, and a number (4-8) of secondary assignments. Assignments are supported by lectures and directed reading. Lectures are available as streamed video from this site. All assignments are either written (papers) or video based presentations. Students will have the flexibility to be creative in how the assignments are completed.
